Green Screen Studio

We have a Green Screen setup that you can assemble and use yourself or request we set this up for you. We charge extra studio time for this setup function, so please allow 30 minutes at the beginning of your hire for assembly and testing.

The system we use is from Bristol SFX, the largest provider of professional chroma key equipment in the UK.

It is made up of sections so can be assembled small for headshot photography or talking head videos, or larger to accommodate two or more people in shot simultaneously.

The photo on the right shows just 1 of the four panels that can be added together to form one cohesive green screen with no gaps. We also have a floor covering which can be joined.

Green screen allows both video and stills images to be created and the background (green) can be removed during post-production and replaced using various software applications such as Premiere Pro and Photoshop.

Our green screen has a matte finish which prevents green spill and maximises the ability of post-production software to remove the green. You can even have transparent items in shot, such as a glass of water.

Just remember not to have your subject dressed in green or they will also disappear!

The real secret to good removal of green with green screen is lighting. You need to light the green screen separately to the subject, and make sure it has flat, even light with minimal hotspots. Once this is done, just light the scene as you normally would and the green should disappear with just a few clicks in your chosen software application.
